State Minister of Education V.Rathakrishnan, Parliamentarian Murugesu Chandrakumar, Northern Provincial Council Chairman C.V.K.Sivagnanam and the Assistant Indian High Commissioner A.T.Natarajan were Guests of Honour.

In the meantime, a walk was also organized in Trincomalee on Sunday, June 21 to mark the International Yoga Day. The march commenced from the Office of the Governor and proceeded to Trincomalee Sri Pathirakali Temple.

The event was organized under the auspices of the Department of Indigenous Medicine of the Eastern Provincial Council. Trincomalee Vaalum Kalai Nilayam, Lions Club and several organizations participated.
