The Ministry of Health has taken steps to construct a specialized maternal and child care centre at the Kalutara General Hospital under assistance from Netherlands amounting to Euro 28,782,948.30
By developing the Kalutara Hospital as a specialized maternal and child carecentre, people of the Kalutara district with low health facilities could get benefited to a great extent.
It would help to provide high level health services to the people of Matugama, Agalawatte, Dodangoda, Ingiriya, Bulathsinhala, Horana, Beruwela and Balapitiya.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a proposal.
