Pre-Election activities in Galle District concludes

The Galle District Secretariat stated that Pre-Elections activities as well as selection of officials for Election Duties in Galle District for the forthcoming General Election on August 17 have already been concluded.

Around 14,000 officials will be deployed in 703 polling centres for the convenience of 819,666 voters of the district.

The Sacred Heart Convent -Galle, Technical College and St.Aloysius College have been identified as counting centers

Postal votes will be counted in 17 halls established at the Galle District Secretariat and official results will be released from the Galle Technical College

According to the District Secretariat all the Divisional Secretariat offices in the district are being implemented as Election Co-ordinating Centers.
