The Campaign for Free & Fair Election (CaFFE) had received over 1,770 pre-poll complaints related to election law violations as at Saturday and out of these 132 were related to violent incidents.

The local and foreign election observers noted that an atmosphere for the conduct of a free and fair election prevails in the country. Around 30,000 local and foreign polls observers are involved in monitoring the Parliamentary elections.
