    Team of Teachers to participate at the ICT Education Program in South Korea Featured

    A team of teachers and officers participates annually in information and communication technology education program held in South Korea according to the provisions in the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education Sri Lanka and Gwangju Metropolitan Education Department in South Korea.

    Two teachers from each Province who have shown an outstanding performance in the field of information and communication technology by providing services as resource persons in the programs organized by the Ministry of Education have been selected for this team. In addition to this, the teacher who came first in the creative teacher section of the national information and communication technology champions competitions, making it a team of 19 teachers and three officers will participate in this program.

     

    This education program in 2015 will be held from 2015-08-24 to 2015-09-07 in Gwangju in South Korea.

     

    Handing over of the air tickets to participating teachers and officers for this education program took place at the Ministry of Education with the participation of the Secretary of Education Upali Marasinghe recently at the auditorium of the Ministry of Education.

     

    Additional Secretary of the Educational Quality Development H.U. Premathilaka, the Director of the Information and Communication Technology G.M. Niel Gunadasa and some officers of the information and communication technology branch participated in this occasion.

     

    Since 2006, nearly 200 teachers have received this opportunity under this program.
