Winds will be Southwesterly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota and Gulf of Mannar sea areas will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.

Showers will occur at times in the sea area off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam, Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers may develop at several places in the sea areas around the island after 2 pm.
