Showers will occur at times with cloudy skies in Western,Southern, Central, Sabaragamuwa provinces and in some parts of the North Western province. Heavy falls (around 100 mm) are also expected at some places.

Thundershowers will develop at several places elsewhere particularly after 3.00 pm.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers says the Met Dept. and requests general public  to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
