He pointed out that there is a critical need to use sustainable energy sources as a solution for the impending fossil fuel crisis and steps will be taken to launch new sustainable energy projects.

He pointed out that it has become necessary to popularize sustainable energy projects to get electricity supply with a minimum cost. Minister Siyambalapitiya further said that steps would be taken to prepare policies and strategies to popularize sustainable energy sources to meet the demand for electricity.
