    Intellectual experience and knowledge from expertise is needed when solving problems

    When taking decisions to solve issues of the country, the intellectual experience and knowledge from professionals, is essential Minister of Ports and Shipping Arjuna Ranatunga stated.

    “Not only solving issues in the country, it’s important to consider the ideas of the expertise as well when solving issues of the Ports Authority. We have already appointed an advisory panel regarding the marine industry. Advice from the expertise is important when getting assistances for other factors as well, not only regarding the marine industry. But, in the past there was no such culture. We took over a corrupted society on the 8th of January.”


    For this gathering Senior Professor Jinadasa Katupotha, Professor Chandrasiri Rajapaksha, Professor Rathnasiri Arangala, Doctor Priyantha Dunusinghe, Renowned Film Director Inoka Sathyanganee, State Literacy Award Winner Mohan Raj Madawala, and many other expertise joined this gathering.


    Here the research book, which was written by the Senior Professor Jinadasa Katupotha handed over his ‘Lagoon of Sri Lanka: From the Origins to the Present’ to the Minister Arjuna Ranatunga.  For this gathering the Secretary to the Ports and Shipping L.P. Jayanpathy, Chairman of the Ports Authority Dammika Ranatunga and staff from the Ministry of Ports and Shipping attended.
