The Acting High Commissioner for Nigeria in Sri Lanka Ahamed Manzo said that the Blue economy program which was started for the fisheries sector is very timely.
He said that all steps will be taken to practice the Blue economy program in Nigeria and awareness programs in this regard will also be carried out.
He also said that he would discuss with top level officers in Nigeria soon about this program.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Vedarachchi said that this meeting was very important for both countries.
