    Freedom, development and justice? Or oppression - PM asks Featured

    Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stressed that the right decision taken by the people of Sri Lanka in January 2015 led to spread freedom, justice and development throughout the country and greatly benefited the oppressed North and East.Addressing a cluster meeting held in Kilinochchi today, the Prime Minister pointed out that a number of special projects have been implemented to provide relief to the war-affected north and east.


    Wickremesinghe said the establishment of Independent Commissions created a free environment throughout the country and the process of providing relief to all Sri Lankans affected by the war had commenced with the establishment of the Office on the Missing Persons (OMP) and the Office of Reparations.The Premier pointed out that the opportunity has arisen for the people to decide on the 16th whether program of this government should be taken further and ensure freedom, development and justice, or bring back the Rajapaksas and deprive of the freedom the people now enjoy and be suppressed.

    Prime Minister Wickremesinghe urged the crowd gathered at the meeting to bring Sajith Rajapaksa to power and enrich their future. Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Power and Energy, Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Irrigation and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development P. Harrison, Minister of State for Education Vijayakala Maheswaran, politicians and a large number of UNP activists were present.
