    Procedure to disinfect the Airport commences

    The Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Services Authority G.A. Chandrasiri said that the Bandaranayake International Airport  (BIA) would not be closed due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19)

    Speaking to the media at the BIA he said that all passengers arriving in the country would be subjected to a quarantine procedure.

    He noted that the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Airport staff were engaged in a programme of disinfecting the BIA premises and its surroundings to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading. This programme of sterilization would be repeated once in three days, he added.
