Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division symbolically handed over the consignment of those medical accessories and equipment to the Hospital Director, Dr Suranga Basnayake on Tuesday (12) after visiting the hospital compound.

Those accessories were urgently required in order to uplift health facilities of the people in Hambantota. Accordingly, those UAE-based donors at a very short notice came forward to offer this assistance at the request of the 12 Division’s General Officer Commanding.

Several Senior Officers of the 12 Division and administrative officers at Hambantota Hospital were associated with the day’s handover of the consignment.
