Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has said that the new Government has achieved the capability of freedom of expression, the basis of all creativity and innovation.
The Prime Minister made this reference at a function held at the British High Commission in Colombo. The function was held at Westminster House in Colombo parallel to the release of the latest James Bond Film worldwide.
The event was organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister. British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka James Doris was among those who joined in the event.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
