    National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2014
    The National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research for scientists who contributed to develop agricultural research was held on Monday (10) under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the BMICH.
     
    The President was felicitated at this ceremony for the contribution made to promote agriculture in Sri Lanka.
     
    Minsiter of Agriculture Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Deputy Minister Y.G.Padmasiri, Agriculture Ministry Secretary R.M.D.B.Meegasmulla, Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (CARP) Chairman Dr.Jayantha Samarasinghe were present at the event.(KH)
