The President first paid obeisance at the historic Kirivehera and participated at the blessings Pooja. He also called on the Chief Incumbent of the Kirivehera Raja Maha Vihara, Ven. Kobawaka Dhamminda Thera and made inquiries into his wellbeing.
Thereafter he participated at a special pooja at the Kataragama Devala and visited the other Devales within the sacred area as well as the Mosque and secured blessings.
The President also seized the opportunity to exchange pleasantries with the devotees who had visited the Kataragama Sacred Area.
