The President was speaking at the opening of Magampura Ruhunu Heritage Museum yesterday (May 8).

The President pointed out that it is disastrous for a country to be divided. Dividing the people of a country for whatever reason will not be beneficial for the country.

President Sirisena stated support of the two major political parties as well as other political parties is necessary to build the country.

‘It is a requirement of a country that people of all faiths and speaking in different languages should work together’ the President said.

Everybody should be united and work together to save the people from poverty, the President further stated.
