    Colombo Overseas School beat Ananda at Football C'ship

    It was a fine game  at Palawatte where Colombo Overseas School picked  up 3 valuable points in Kotmale Chox Under 19 schools football championship when they beat Ananda by 4 goals to 0.


    The match started in a good space with both teams doing well but at the 15th minutes Devin Kabey managed to net for OSC to take an early lead in the game and before the 30 minutes  OSC added another  through the popular OG to make it 2-0 at lemons.

    After the break it was OSC again adding another through a neat pass collected and sent to the goal by Show Kubota who had a good game to make it 3 goals to 0. Kubota had scored against both Ananda and Nalanda games and at the last stages of the game Jung Soo Keown found the net to seal the victory with 4 goals to 0.

    OSC has now collected 4 points out of 2 games and they have to play with De Mazenod College Kandana and St Benadicts College,Kotahena  to secure a birth in the final 8 of the tournament. Football Federation of Sri Lanka is conducting this novel tournament attracting new fan base and involving popular schools which is sponsored by Kotmale Chox. (KH/SI)
