    Japan Will Join USA and India in Naval Exercises

    Tokyo: Japan on Thursday (09) confirmed its participation in the Malabar exercises, an annual event primarily organized by the United States and India, that takes place in Chinese territorial waters.

    The Japanese Navy posted the news on its official website, adding that the ships will depart for the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean, in October. Japan takes part again in the exercises, since 2007.

     

    Japanese destroyers and patrol aircraft will conduct training in anti-aircraft and anti-submarine warfare, ship inspection and rescue under adverse weather conditions.
