Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratna has informed the management of Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital to provide free treatment to the clergy.
As the hospital was spending a huge amount of money on treating clergy, the management decided that they will provide free treatment only for clergy who are admitted and are resident in close proximity to the hospital.
Accordingly, Minister Senaratna has informed the Chairman of the Hospital Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanage to cancel the decision and to provide OPD and in house free treatment for clergy.
