    Sri Lanka President pardons Mirror Wall scribbler Featured

    Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena is to grant Presidential pardon today to Sinnathambi Utheny the girl who scribbled on the Sigiriya Mirror Wall with a sharp object.

    Sinnathamby Utheny, a resident of Batticaloa was given a two-year jail term for causing damage to the Mirror Wall of Sri Lanka's Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a World Heritage Site.

     

    Justice and Labour Reforms Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe said that the President Maithripala Sirisena has signed the relevant documents yesterday to pardon the girl.
