The Management and Staff at Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya, the Elizabethan-era mansion, now a national heritage property, together with a group of young musicians and students hosted Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) to a celebratory reception on Thursday (2) at the Hotel premises, in which he was immortalized unveiling a photo and felicitated awarding a special memento that lauds his roles as one of the heavyweights behind control of COVID-19 epidemic.
